Don’t Miss Out!

Something came to mind this morning on my run that hit me like a ton of bricks. Luckily, I was able to keep running. Actually, I think it caused me to pick up the pace a little. I was reflecting on all the people I have talked to about fitness, diet, workout programs, P90x, Turbo Jam, Rockin Body, and just overall general health. I am finding that most people prefer to vent about their bodies not feeling strong enough or being overweight and unhealthy, rather than actually making a change. Until those people are good and ready to move from the venting side of the line to the changing side of the line, NO changes will be made. Venting is only venting. Nothing comes from it except maybe more frustration. Changing is making an actual change, and that is when something happens.

Now, what hit me like a ton of bricks is that I almost did not make a change a year ago. I was venting about being up two jean sizes after giving birth to my third child. I was venting about not being motivated to go out the door and run, which was the only form of exercise I have ever known and done since the age of 14. I was venting about giving in and overeating. My husband introduced me to Million Dollar Body, now called Team Beach Body, by the way. I took a look at it, but did not pay much attention. My husband also introduced me to P90X. I took a look at the box, but figured it was just some silly workout video, and I would never do some silly workout video. Well, I went on like this for just a little over two months. I was judgmental and close minded. My husband also became an independant Million Dollar Body coach, and even signed me up as one. Well, I was not a good coach those first few months because I did NOTHING! Luckily, by sheer jealousy, I decided to try one of those P90X workouts. I had seen my husband doing the workouts, and he ranted and raved at how amazing they were. So, because of my jealousy, I decided to give it a try myself. Now, here I am almost one year later, as hooked as ever to P90X, and I am a ranked independant Team Beach Body coach. I am making an income, and it has never once felt like a job. There is no clocking in or doing tasks for a boss that I may not always agree with. It is just a lifestyle and sharing that lifestyle, and I get paid for doing it. I almost let it all go just because I did not want to believe or open my eyes to something new and different.

That is what I am seeing with so many people that I talk to about fitness. Some of them think I am just trying to sell to them and want to make a quick buck, so they totally ignore what I as a coach, and Team Beach Body have to offer them. Other people I talk to about P90X and even loan them some of the workouts to try, do not even put the DVD into the player. They let it sit on their shelf for weeks, and only return it when I tell them that I please need it back. Those people say no because they have decided to keep their eyes closed and not even take a peek. I will have to say, of the many others who have actually taken a look at a P90X workout, and even tried a few of them, have been blown away, and if they were skeptical at first. they are the complete opposite after seeing or trying it, saying, “I want to bring it and do this. Get me one.” And I do.

I have told many people who are struggling with their fitness about becoming a Team Beach Body club member. I tell just about everyone I come into contact with about it in some way or another. I give out my coach card, and the people say this is just what they need, but then most never even sign on. It stops with, “This is just what I need.” Then, they go back to their venting ways, and keep searching for that non existent magic pill. Just thinking about it gets my adrenaline up.

If only I were a millionaire and if only I had all the free time in the world. I would buy a thousand P90X’s, I would also buy Turbo Jam and Rocking Body workouts. I would hand them out to all those dear venting ones and personally go over to their homes and help them push play everyday. I would sign all these people up as members and log them into WOWY each day. If only they could see and open their eyes to a whole new world. Those of you who have said yes know what I am talking about. I am sure your lives are much fuller and much healthier now than they were before Team Beach Body, or before P90X, Turbo Jam, Rocking Body, or others that TBB has to offer.

If you have not said yes, then say it now. Don’t miss out and don’t get left behind. I say this with so much sincerity and passion in my heart. I feel overjoyed when one of my members reaches a fitness goal and also sticks with it. I feel overjoyed when someone brings it with P90X and changes their whole body, or when one of my runner friends is now strong enough to qualify for the Boston marathon because of the strength and durability that P90X has given her, that she did not have before, and she could not qualify before P90X. Get involved, get going, quit venting, and change your life today!

Granted, some days will be harder than others to get moving and to stay on track with eating healthy. Believe me, I know. I have my own eating struggles. I sometimes have mornings that I do not want to get out of bed and get going. Just yesterday, I woke up at 5:08 a.m. and did not want to get up. For the next 13 minutes I had a mental argument with myself. “I am going to sleep in. I don’t want to get up. ” “I am going to get up. I already took off yesterday. I am not going to keep laying here. ” “But, I want to keep laying here. I don’t feel like getting out of my warm bed.” “Get up, get up, now!” Well, needless to say, I did get up and out of bed, and I did do my entire workout. Just let me tell you, after it was all said and done, I was not regretting that I got up instead of rolling over and going back to sleep. I was glad that I got up and worked out, and it ended up being a great workout too. Whew! I had a workout high. I know that if I had rolled over and gone back to sleep I would not have been okay with it later on. I would have been upset that I missed my workout. I have never ever later on in the day been upset that I ended up getting out of bed and working out, NEVER once. DON’T MISS OUT MY DEAR ONES, DON’T MISS OUT! I will spend the rest of my life promoting fitness and health, and if 99 people say no before I have one person say yes, then I will celebrate like crazy for that one person. Eventually, that one person becomes two, then three, then four, and the list goes on, and I will never quit celebrating for those who decide to not miss out.
